Hiiii lovelies! Would you look at that? June is over! It seemed like yesterday I finished school. Before you know it I’ll be back in August *shivers* Let’s not think about that right now, we’re here for a June wrap up.
I have to finish packing for an overnight trip out of town so I don’t have lots of time to drone on and on about what I thought about each book I finished during June. So, without further ado, here are all of the books I read + collected in June.
First I’m going to start off light + introduce my June haul. I accumulated a total of four books. 3 of them I received from various giveaways at #B-fest (see my blog post about that here) and one I bought from Amazon.
As for which books I hope to read in July, Sing + Kids of Appetite are most likely going to be on my tbr radar. Unfortunately, I’ve already read Afterworlds, but it was one of my fave reads from 2015 and I’m ecstatic I own it nonetheless.
My birthday is in late July so I’m hoping I can receive (
or buy, because both my friends and family tell me I’ve read everything) some new books by August! I also spot some fantastic books being released in July, so that’s just another reason to blow my birthday money on a few glossy new hardcovers ❤
Now it’s time for the wrap up!
The Crown / Kiera Cass ≫ ★★★★★
The Unexpected Everything / Morgan Matson ≫ ★★★★★
The Last Star / Rick Yancey ≫ ★★★★☆
It Ends With Us / Colleen Hoover ≫ ★★★★★
Summer Days & Summer Nights / Stephanie Perkins ≫ ★★★★☆
When We Collided / Emery Lord ≫ ★★★★★
A Study in Charlotte / Brittany Cavallaro ≫ ★★★★☆
Tell Me Three Things / Julie Buxbaum ≫ ★★★★★
My top 3 faves might just be The Unexpected Everything, It Ends With Us, & When We Collided. All of them I devoured within 24 hours and for the life of me couldn’t put down. If only I had more restraint. . .but good books destroy me. I highly recommend all of them, no doubt. I am utterly transfixed by young adult contemporary from the months of April – September.
Overall, I read a total of 8 books this month. And as nice as that sounds, it barely made a dent in my 2016 goodreads challenge aka, “20 books behind schedule.” 😂 😦 I really hope to pick myself up in July and read (hopefully) twice as many books. Not only that but I plan to marathon the Harry Potter books + movies in preparation for The Cursed Child. One thing is for sure, July is definitely going to be a hectic month!
How many books did you read in June? Which were your favorites?
P.S. blog post brought to you by the lovely Audrey Hepburn (seriously, why is she here not just once, but twice?)
